THE DAWN OF ALL - THEORY 1
INTRO
We get up, we eat, we walk, we think, but, how it all began?
Some says, it all began with a cosmic explosion, whereas some says, it all was started in the SEVEN days. Whatever maybe the truth, humans have come along a long way, from roaming the forests to go beyond Earth. The Quest for Scientific Exploration was always coupled with the need for survival. We started our journey, long before our Earth was born, at the dawn of the Universe.
THE DAWN
There was nothing, absolute nothingness. The clock wasn’t ticking, because the time itself wasn’t born. But, there was a dot, fuming with energy, ready to explode. We do not know, where that dot was hosted or what was before 13.6 billion years ago. But, we do believe that, there was a bang, the dot expanding in all directions, with incredible speed, giving birth to our universe.
The place is dark or at least it was dark for the first few million years. The first ray of light that emerged from the ancient stars and galaxies bored through the baby universe laying the groundwork for the universe that we currently reside. As the far end of the universe departs away faster than the speed of light, the universe began to cool down.
THE LIGHT
Chaos. There was chaos. And, in that chaos, a light was born.
Chunks of asteroids bombarded together. As the mass grew, the force of attraction grew. Gravity further attracted other asteroids to the party. Slowly, the sphere grew, density increased and then, the core was ignited. A star was born. There was still a lot of materials lying around for a potential binary system. But, fate took an alternate route, making the chunks of asteroids into planets.
At its early stage, our Solar System was in utter mayhem. Planets colliding with each other, giving birth to new planets. As millions and billions of years rolled by, the system settled down with one star, eight planets and three dwarf planets. Our solar system was born and within it born a special planet, that hosts life.
LIFE
It’s been a billion years now, since Earth formed. A ball of fire revolves around the planet. Both Earth and Moon was erupting with volcanic activities, acid rain et al., Years move by and after a million years, the night sky was illuminated with moon’s luster. But, deep down in the water, where the light hasn’t penetrated yet, there was a curious chemistry lab being set up.
The night sky was dark, the water was cool, it was raining on the earth’s surface. There was a thud, the clouds illuminated with a pulse of energy, as the lightning strikes the water. The high bolt of energy was the last ingredient needed to create the recipe. A new organic compound was formed and with it life itself was born.
Microbes ruled this world for millions and billions of years, but slowly life evolved forming multi-cellular organisms. The ocean was the source of life and it was booming with it. Millions of years of evolution have resulted in organisms at every scale in the ocean. But, in land, it was barren.
A creature slowly lurked at the shores, trying to get on land. But, it died in the process. Slowly, many creatures attempted the endeavor in vain. But, nature allowed them to evolve to hold breathe for long amounts of time. And, after million of years, the first mammal walked on the surface of earth.
Years rolled by and the planet witnessed the rise of the largest and most successful predators on Earth. The grounds trembled as they walked, the air was filled with their roars, land, air and water was ruled by them. The Dinosaurs walked on the Earth millions of years ago and ruled the world for about 165 million years. But, the Jurassic era is about to end, as a bright spot appeared in the sky.
THE BIRTH
The bright spot grew brighter and larger. As the days grew, the bright spot conquered the sky as if a Second sun was born. Both day and night appeared the same, as this strange entity illuminated the sky. About 65 million years ago, this entity made contact with earth and with it wiped off almost all the population of planet Earth.
A ball of fire moved across the sky rupturing the atmosphere. The earth rattled with earthquakes as the asteroid made contact with earth near Gulf of Mexico. A huge mushroom cloud erupted at the impact site, the planet surface was showering with meteor rain and the oceans marched towards the land with huge tsunami’s. Within a single day, almost all the entire living beings on earth was wiped out.
The brightness was followed by darkness. As the dust settles from the asteroid impact, the earth goes into one of its longest winters. The survivors of this catastrophe was some dinosaur species that can fly and few other species that hid well. The survivors was forced to undergo rapid evolution due to the changed conditions on the planet and the incompetent went extinct. This event marked the rise of the mammals and soon enough, man walked on the surface of this planet.
"Our Survival spirit is the greatest source of Inspiration."
